Get magnum power and smooth, lever-action operation with the reliable BLR rifle
Many of us spent our early hunting years with a lever-action rifle in hand, and even brought down our first deer with one. Now you can relive those early days afield with a Browning BLR. Easy to the shoulder and smooth to swing, the refined BLR is the "modern" lever gun with a number of changes that enhance the accuracy and performance of this time-honored design. Most notably is the detachable, box-style magazine that gives this lever the ability to fire cartridges with pointed bullet tips — including those in magnum chamberings — making the BLR suitable for varmints and even elk and bear. The BLR is a lever-action rifle for this century, delivering fast cycling, hard hitting performance you can rely on.

Features of the BLR.
RACK AND PINION LEVER ACTION
The glass-smooth rack and pinion lever action features a strong rotating head, multiple-lug breech bolt with a recessed bolt face and side ejection. This rugged design easily handles powerful magnum cartridges.
RECEIVER
The BLR features a receiver that is constructed from rugged, lightweight aluminum alloy. The receiver is drilled and tapped for optics mounts.
FOLDING HAMMER
The folding hammer provides an added measure of safety when the hammer is in the half-cock position. The hammer has four positions: Full-cock, half-cock, the folded hammer position and the dropped, or fired position. The two positions at half-cock readily indicate the status of the rifle.
DETACHABLE BOX MAGAZINE
The detachable box magazine provides reliable feeding, makes reloading the rifle fast, and allows the use of superior ammunition with pointed bullets, including those in magnum chamberings.
PINCH-FREE LEVER ACTION
The trigger travels with the lever to prevent pinching fingers when working the lever.
TAKEDOWN MODELS
BLR Takedown models are just as accurate and reliable as their unified counterparts but much easier to transport and store.
The rifle is easily and quickly assembled by simply sliding the barrel half into the receiver half and locking them together with the flip of a lever. The lever mechanically engages a stout locking lug into a recess in the bottom of the receiver. The system is rugged, precise, and blends easily into the styling of the rifle.
Optics can be mounted to either the receiver for use with a traditional scope or a scout-style mount can be used in conjunction with long eye relief optics.
DETACHABLE BOX MAGAZINE
The Achilles heel of most lever-action rifles is marginal accuracy caused by flat-nosed bullets. The BLR utilizes a box magazine that protects bullet tips and allows the use of ballistically superior ammunition.
MAGNUM CARTRIDGES
The multi-lug bolt is strong enough to handle magnum cartridges, making it suitable for game like elk, caribou, bear, and moose.
